Recent Event: Messy Church: Sept 28th

This was an interactive event, with crafts, music, worship and celebration for the while family! Followed by a supper. Joint  with Riverside United Church.

Welcome to our Church and our Website!

Our church is dedicated to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Resurrection is the heart of the Good News about Jesus and we are People of the Resurrection, dedicated to bringing the reality of his resurrection into our daily lives.

This is a unique place. We share the building with Riverside United Church and do many things together over the course of the church year. Our multi-purpose, fully accessible building allows us to truly be a hub of activity for the whole community. The journey together began in 1969 and to this day we continue to pursue God’s mission for us here in this community of Riverside Park.

During the Program Year (Sept-June) on Sunday mornings we worship at 8am, a quiet short service, and at 915am, a service with our Choir and Sunday School for the children. The Holy Eucharist (or Holy Communion) is the format at both services using the rites from the Book of Alternative Services (pg. 185).

During the summer and at different times of the year we worship together with our United Church sister congregation and there are special combined services at times like Christmas and Easter.

On the last Sunday of our Sunday School program (usually the second Sunday of June) we hold our main service and church picnic outdoors.

We also offer an exciting program for families called Messy Church. This is a program that enables young families to learn and worship together at a time other than Sunday morning. It is a fun interactive way to include young children in the life of the church family. That program will be offered  next on the date TBA. The theme will be announced soon.

Come and join us for worship or one of our many activities. Browse around our site and you will see that a warm welcome awaits you here at the Church of the Resurrection.
